Project Description

The Ranelagh Multi-Denominational School building was constructed over the school year 1997 to 1998, to replace a series of old buildings that were no longer suitable for a modern teaching environment. A new extension was opened in September 2007, comprising two teaching rooms, a multi-purpose space, a meeting room, a new staffroom, and enhanced office facilities. The site of the new eight classroom building and extension, covering 1150m2, is located close to Dublin’s city centre.

TPE Consulting Engineers Services

Meeting the schools teaching and environmental requirements called for the detailed design of space heating, daylighting and natural ventilation, water services, lighting, general power, telephone and public address, fire and intruder alarm, and a lift service. The original project had a combined services value of $230,000. The service requirements of the 2007 extension, with a combined value of $185,000 were fully integrated with the existing systems.
