Over the past seventeen years TPE Consulting Engineers have worked on twenty-five projects in Moylish and six in the Clare Street campus’ of Limerick Institute of Technology in the south west of Ireland, ranging from refurbishment works to new build projects, including the following developments:
Limerick Institute of Technology marked its 150 years in existence with the completion of a series of major investments in development and facilities which TPE Consulting Engineers also worked on, including the new Millennium Theatre and Aula Maxima in 2005.
TPE Consulting Engineers Works
The Aula Maxima is a 932m2 multi-purpose building accommodating a 720 seat public assembly facility, indoor sports playing area, flat floor exam facility with retractable seating, a raised stage area and ancillary accommodation. The structure is a lightweight steelwork roof and block walls with large glazed sections on end walls and at high levels.
Limerick’s cultural scene was significantly enhanced when the new Millennium Theatre was opened in March 2003. It has a double height steel and glass fronted foyer, a 350 seat auditorium with stage and ancillary accommodation and is connected to the mail building via an existing link. Civil engineering works include roads, sewers, car parking, all-weather pitches and three sand carpet pitches
