Emma McKendrick joined PUNCH Consulting Engineers in 2006 as a Senior Engineer and was promoted to Regional Director in 2007. She was appointed Regional Director of TPE Consulting Engineers in 2009 and Director of TPE Consulting Engineers in 2011. Prior to that Emma spent 16 years in the United Kingdom working for a number of Consulting Civil and Structural Engineering Practices including 7 years with Babtie Group (now part of the Jacobs Group).
Prior to joining PUNCH Consulting Engineers Emma worked on a diverse range of Civil Engineering and Railway projects. Projects included design and construction of various water/ waste water treatment plants and reservoirs throughout Scotland and assessment of existing reservoirs in Hong Kong and Malaysia. She also worked on various D&B Ministry of Defence Projects in Northern Ireland.
Since joining PUNCH Consulting Engineers in 2006 Emma has primarily been involved in Civil Engineering projects with particular expertise in Master planning, Sustainability, Infrastructure and Environmental projects. She also has a particular experience in development and treatment of ground water supplies, treatment of waste water to a standard that facilitates reuse for irrigation purposes and treatment of surface water run-off from highways.
Emma has been responsible for managing Civils design teams on a number of large Civil Infrastructure design projects in Ireland, UK, Libya and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with project values of up to $1.28bn. Projects include housing developments (development area up to 36 hectares) and mixed use developments (.development area up to 125 hectares). She promotes the use of sustainable infrastructure.
Emma has acted as the Lead Civil Infrastructure Engineer on a number of significant master planning projects including King Fahad Medical City and an emergency lodging camp Shumaisi, Makkah both in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia plus redevelopment of an industrial site in Ireland to house some 200,000m2 of mixed use accommodation.
